Around April 2005, I’d been pitching story ideas to my editor to no avail for some time, and so I started to come up with character designs for a children’s book called "Sue, the Girl who Liked Blue," written by my friend Mike White. I was planning on illustrating the entire book, and we’d pitch it to a company, but that was when TOKYOPOP accepted my pitch for Fool’s Gold! Anyway, it was great fun to try out a new style, and I’m sad I didn’t get too far.
